JERICHO, NY – November 28, 2017 – Nectar Services Corp., the leader in the development and deployment of proactive network monitoring and performance management software for the Unified Communications (UC) industry, today announced that it has earned the Frost & Sullivan award for Global Enhanced User Experience for Unified Communications New Product Innovation. This latest accolade is one of a half dozen that Nectar has won in 2017. Nectar’s Evolution software was recognized for improving the overall performance of UC environments and for optimizing enterprises’ time, resources and costs.
As Frost & Sullivan noted in its Award Report, managing Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE) is increasingly challenging as UC environments grow more complex. Evolution, Nectar’s innovative QoS software integrated with Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller–Enterprise Module (APIC-EM), erases the need for manual intervention by automating the initiation of a QoS change. This allows for the quick configuration of QoS policies for enhanced calls or additional network capabilities. Thanks to this configuration that takes mere seconds, the lengthy and cost-draining process of manual intervention is eliminated, saving customers’ operational expenses by ten times.
“Evolution’s uniqueness lies in its ability to witness calls related to the network in real time. While some of Nectar’s peers are interfacing with Cisco’s EasyQoS application, others are configuring QoS policies on particular services they have sold to their customers. However, none of these competitors have been able to reach out to the edge of the network, unlike Nectar’s Evolution, thus providing Nectar with a distinct competitive advantage,” said Olga Yashkova, program manager, Frost & Sullivan.
“Streamlining the QoS process does away with the need for manual intervention through Evolution’s automated QoS policy configuration. This has been a game-changer for our customers. They have reported saving tremendous amounts of time and money after adopting Evolution,” said David Giangano, Nectar’s CEO. “We are thrilled to earn Frost & Sullivan’s New Product Innovation Award. This award proves the success of this innovative product and is another testament of our commitment to easing the complexity of the UC environment, helping our partners ensure a high-quality UC experience for end users.”
Nectar will be honored at the Frost & Sullivan Excellence in Best Practices Award Gala in Anaheim, California, on January 24, 2018.
